A comfortable family home
This period house is full of Norman feeling. The huge fireplace in the living-room is fitted with a wood stove that heats the house together with the electric convectors. There’s a partly open kitchen and a back kitchen used as a laundry room. The veranda is a real living space with another wood stove heating. It has lovely views on the garden and countryside around the place.
There is one bedroom and bathroom on ground floor and three more bedrooms and shower room on the first floor.
2 renovated outbuildings
The approximately 3 000 m² land is entirely fenced and planted with trees and shrubs. Apple trees and pear trees are growing in the orchard.
The smallest of the 2 barns has been entirely renovated into a charming building with a new roof and fixed walls. The biggest is approximately 50 m² (attic not included) with a new PVC roof and can be used for storage.
There are both connected to electricity.
Peaceful and picturesque surroundings
This nice property is set in the small village of Bures-En-Bray. Pays de Bray has a hilly landscape with lovely sceneries that can be enjoyed from the garden. L’Avenue Verte (The Greenway), a pedestrian and cycling way that connects Forges-Les-Eaux to Dieppe goes through the village.
There’s only one shop in the village, an épicerie-café-bar but it sells good local food and serves fresh and hot drinks. The closest supermarket is only 10 kms away, in a village called Les Grandes-Ventes.
Rouen and Dieppe are only a 30 minutes’ drive as well as the beaches on the Côte d’Albatre.
This house is ideal for someone looking for a peaceful place in lovely surroundings not too far from the sea, a little more than 2 hours from Paris, 3 hours from Brussels and 5 hours from Amsterdam with easy access to motorways.
