Pays de Bray is full of views of outstanding natural beauty! Neufchâtel-En-Bray, the main town of the area is only 10 kms away. Destroyed during last world war, its 12th century church was saved as well as its covered market place where local merchants sell their fresh products. All other products can be bought in the shopping area on the outskirts of Neufchatel.

 

This country house was partly built in 1780, the most recent part was built in  1880. Renovated to take advantage of modern comfort, it is still full of period Norman features.

A lovely veranda was added to extend the living-room and enjoy the garden and its dramatic views all year round. A wood stove inside the stone fire place and electric convector heaters are handy to give clean and efficient heating.

Kitchen is fully fitted and the back kitchen is also used as a laundry room and service entrance. On the ground floor there are also a large bedroom and a family bathroom.

There is another bathroom and four more bedrooms on the first floor. The attic on the second floor could be refurbished into another bedroom and bathroom.

The fenced grounds are planted with fruit trees and flowering shrubs. Two workshops, a tool shed, a stable and an attic covering all the length are found in the large barn with a new roof. Already connected to electricity, it could easily become a guest house.

The other outbuilding is currently used as a garage and as a shed for the wood.

Location is 40 minutes from Rouen, 30 minutes from Dieppe and the beaches of the Côte d’Albâtre. This country house would be ideal as a restful secondary house or as a main house, not too far from all amenities.

There is easy access to join Brussels, only 3 hours, Paris, only 2 hours and twenty minutes, Calais, only 1 hour and forty minutes.
